Our Mission
Volunteering Korea is a by-law umbrella organization for Korean voluntary bodies
- Framework Act on Volunteer Service Activities (2005)
The Organization and its Members, in pursuit of our goodness and common interests
of a community, advocate volunteerism and make efforts to create an enabling environment
for volunteering. We believe that volunteerism is a leading motivation and a core value for
making a better and sustainable world.

Our Members
We are a membership-based organization with 139 membership organizations and 250 partnership organizations.
Our membership covers all voluntary sectors, volunteering & grass-root organizations, community/international development NGOs,
social welfare organizations, corporate and public volunteering groups.

- The 1st and 2nd National Plans for Volunteering & Service (2008 & 2013)
- Volunteering Promotion Committee (2006-), chaired by Prime Minister, and vice-chaired
by Minister of Security and Public Administration and a civilian committee member

- IAVE Global National Volunteer Centers Network
- CIVICUS organization member
- CPS(Country Partnership Strategy) with Asia-Pacific developing countries
